Mac Security Made Easy

Author: Brian Brinkman

Do you work in an environment that requires a security password to login? Whether your in a corporate environment or you just don’t want your 4-year-old accidentally deleting half your hard drive, having a password to login is at times a necessary evil.  All too often you login, answer the phone, and before you know it you have already been logged out.  If this workflow sounds familiar to you, you may want to check out Airlock.

Airlock is an App for Mac OS X which logs you in and out of your Mac based on your proximity.  How does it do this?  Airlocks developer’s claim its done by magic, but it also uses your iPhone or iPod Touch and Bluetooth to identify you and how close you are to your computer.  You can customize the App to login/logout of your Mac, login to iChat, turn on VoiceOver, etc.  For more information visithttp://themha.com/airlock/index.html?s=a
