How to clone a HubSpot Campaign and the marketing assets

Using the HubSpot cloning feature lets you create a standardized template that can be used to save time and ensure consistency of recurring marketing campaigns. By cloning a campaign, assets are saved in a format that can then be tailored to a given audience, language, region, etc.

The assets that you’ll save by cloning include the following.

  • Blog posts
  • Calls-to-action (CTAs)
  • Emails
  • Forms
  • Landing pages
  • Website pages
  • Other sources
  • Workflows

Assets that will NOT be cloned include social posts and tracking URL’s. Those elements will, however, remain in the original campaign. Additionally, cloned assets are limited to 255 characters. Assets greater than 255 characters will be truncated in the cloned version.
Cloning a campaign and its assets requires four simple steps.

  1. Navigate to your campaigns list.
  2. Move your cursor over the campaign and then click “Clone.”



3.     Make any changes you need for the new campaign in the right-side panel.
4.     Click “Save.”
