With the announcements at UNBOUND 2026, AI is clearly moving into a much bigger role within HubSpot.
Many of HubSpot’s most powerful advances incorporate how the native AI already living in the platform can put the CSM data to more meaningful use.
HubSpot calls the approach Growth Context, and it gives tools such as Breeze more information to work with when carrying out marketing and sales tasks.
For B2B companies, Stream Creative is taking a closer look at how continued AI integration will improve HubSpot functionality for B2B manufacturing marketers.
We’ll start with an explanation of HubSpot’s Growth Context and how it will help our clients.
Growth Context is HubSpot’s term for all the information its AI uses to understand a business and the people it serves, including company knowledge and history from the CRM. Knowledge accuracy is confirmed via Context Home, where users can view collected information, correct inaccuracies and fill in missing information.
B2B company CRMs often contain a lot of history, especially when long sales cycles are involved, and Growth Context provides more information to HubSpot’s AI. A request to create a campaign, for example, can be informed by what HubSpot already knows about the company and its customers instead of relying only on the instructions entered into a prompt.
Information quality is becoming even more critical as HubSpot continues to integrate and improve AI functionality. The first noticeable place is in the evolution of Breeze Assistant.
For example:
Launch a campaign: Give Breeze the objective and use specialized HubSpot agents to help develop the campaign around it.
Create a landing page: Ask Breeze to create the page using information already available in HubSpot to inform the work.
Research an account: Sales teams can use HubSpot’s AI capabilities to gather relevant information based on what is already connected to the CRM.
The ability to start with an outcome and have Breeze handle more of the work required to reach it could significantly change how people interact with HubSpot.
Human review still matters, especially when the work involves customer communication or decisions based on CRM data. Giving Breeze enough useful information to make those recommendations also depends on what HubSpot knows, which helps explain the changes coming to the CRM itself.
HubSpot’s self-updating Smart CRM will now capture more activity automatically. Context Home gives companies a way to review the information informing HubSpot’s AI and identify areas where context is incomplete.
For years, CRM hygiene has affected reporting and the ability to segment contacts accurately. With Growth Context, incomplete information can also affect the work HubSpot’s AI produces. If an agent is expected to recommend what should happen with an opportunity, the history available to it becomes important.
Data quality doesn’t just impact sales success. With HubSpot’s new Marketing Studio, the CRM information gets put to work to identify marketing opportunities and shape the campaigns created around them.
Marketing Studio brings campaign planning and execution into one HubSpot workspace. Marketers can begin with an insight, work with Breeze Assistant to develop the campaign, and use specialized agents to create the supporting content.
At UNBOUND 2026, Marketing Studio was in public beta.
As a new tool, Marketing Studio opens new opportunities for B2B marketers by identifying opportunities and crafting appropriate marketing responses, such as:
Leads that did not receive appropriate follow-up: Marketing Studio can identify the gap and help create a campaign to re-engage them.
Poor visibility for an important topic in AI search: The platform can surface the opportunity and help develop a campaign to improve visibility.
An audience segment performing differently than expected: Marketing Studio can flag the performance gap, then bring in Campaign Agent and Content Agent to help plan and execute a response.
For B2B marketing teams, the value of Marketing Studio will depend on whether the underlying insight is useful and whether the resulting campaign reflects the expertise buyers need.
HubSpot is also extending the same idea into AI search, where marketers have a growing number of new ways to reach potential buyers.
HubSpot is giving marketers more ways to understand how their companies appear in AI search and connecting company visibility with the customer activity captured in the CRM. The new capabilities cover both organic and paid visibility, starting with HubSpot AEO.
HubSpot AEO helps marketers understand how their companies appear in AI-generated answers and identify prompts worth monitoring based on customer data. Additional functionality includes the ability to compare visibility against competitors and show which content is earning citations.
For B2B companies, prompt research may be especially useful when it reflects the questions actual customers ask.Traditional keyword research still provides valuable information about search behavior. At the same time, CRM data can add another source for understanding how prospects describe their problems and what they want to know before making a purchase.
HubSpot AEO can become part of a company’s ongoing content planning and act as a tool to determine when existing content needs improvement or a new resource is needed to improve visibility.
HubSpot is taking a similar approach to paid visibility with its new ChatGPT Ads integration.
HubSpot announced the first CRM integration with ChatGPT Ads, allowing customers to build, manage and measure ChatGPT advertising campaigns from HubSpot.
Traffic from ChatGPT Ads can be sent to a HubSpot landing page, where resulting contacts can enter workflows and be attributed alongside other marketing channels. Marketers can look beyond the initial ad interaction to see what develops afterward.
A B2B sales cycle may last for months, and the ability to connect a newer advertising channel with later CRM activity can help determine whether it is contributing to meaningful business results.
HubSpot also expanded its advertising capabilities through Microsoft, giving marketers another way to manage paid activity from the CRM.
Microsoft Advertising is now available within HubSpot, extending paid advertising management and tracking performance to the following Microsoft properties:
Bing
Edge
Outlook
Copilot
MSN
Windows
Xbox
For marketers already managing several acquisition channels, bringing more advertising data into HubSpot could make it easier to evaluate performance against the same CRM outcomes.
AI search may be changing how prospects discover companies, but attracting interest is only part of the B2B challenge. HubSpot also announced several updates aimed at helping sales teams determine which accounts deserve their attention.
B2B sales teams can spend a considerable amount of time researching accounts before they know whether an opportunity is worth pursuing. HubSpot’s latest sales updates are aimed at doing more research inside the CRM and using what HubSpot already knows to guide the next step.
The sales-and-prospecting changes cover early prospecting and active opportunities, with new tools designed around the information gathered as a buyer moves through the sales process.
Prospecting Agent monitors target accounts for buying signals and uses those signals to identify potential opportunities, including form fills, site visits, and added external information.
Once an account looks promising, Prospecting Agent works to find contacts and draft outreach informed by the available customer context.
For sales teams currently researching accounts manually, Prospecting Agent could reduce some of the time spent gathering basic information before outreach begins.
HubSpot has also changed how the agent is priced, charging $1 per recommended lead rather than for ongoing account monitoring.
Finding the right account still leaves another familiar B2B question: who actually needs to be involved in the purchase? Buying Groups will help identify the stakeholders who may be involved in a deal.
Anyone involved in complex B2B sales knows the person who fills out a form may represent only one part of the buying process. Other people can influence the purchase long before they ever appear on a sales call.
At UNBOUND 2026, Buying Groups was announced in public beta.
For a manufacturer selling a complex piece of equipment, one contact may care about technical specifications while another is responsible for purchasing approval. Understanding who is involved can help sales teams see where a relationship is incomplete and give marketing a better picture of the information different buyers may need.
Once those conversations begin, HubSpot is also trying to capture more of what sales learns without requiring reps to manually document each development.
Smart Deal Progression uses information already associated with a deal to recommend what should happen next. Transcripts and emails, along with deal history, are used as resources to suggest CRM updates after a call.
Mobile Notetaker adds another source of information by capturing conversations happening outside of a traditional virtual meeting. Together, Smart Deal Progression and Mobile Notetaker can reduce the amount of information salespeople have to manually move into HubSpot.
When an important customer concern or next step is captured in the CRM, other people working with the account have access to it, and HubSpot’s AI has more complete information for future recommendations.
As HubSpot captures more of the sales process, the company is also moving further into what happens after a buyer is ready to purchase.
Revenue Hub expands HubSpot’s role in the quote-to-cash process. Built on the former Commerce Hub, Revenue Hub handles more of the work happening between reaching a deal and collecting revenue, including quote generation and ongoing changes to an agreement.
More of the revenue process is tied directly to the same deal record used by marketing and sales. A quote can be created with information from the opportunity, while later changes remain connected to the customer relationship rather than being managed in a completely separate system.
The fit of Revenue Hub will vary considerably by company. Businesses with complex CPQ requirements will need to evaluate how Revenue Hub compares with the systems they already use, while midmarket companies looking to consolidate more of their process in HubSpot may find the expansion particularly interesting.
Revenue Hub extends HubSpot further into the customer lifecycle, and Customer Agent is receiving its own set of changes for what happens after the sale.
Customer Agent has been around, but HubSpot is giving companies more control over how and where it is used. New capabilities include:
More customer context: Customer Agent can use CRM information and conversation history alongside support content when responding to customers.
More control over deployment: Companies can create separate agents for different brands, extend support to email and use phased rollouts to introduce Customer Agent to a percentage of conversations before expanding its use.
Better visibility into source performance: New Customer Agent reporting helps teams understand which sources contribute to successful answers and where supporting content may need improvement.
Together, the updates give companies more control over the information Customer Agent uses and how it interacts with customers.
HubSpot is also moving toward an outcome model that charges $0.50 for a successful resolution, aligning the cost more closely with completed support work.
Customer Agent shows how HubSpot is using CRM context inside its own platform. The next group of announcements takes the same information into tools employees may already be using elsewhere.
HubSpot is making CRM data available in more of the AI and collaboration tools employees already use:
ChatGPT Connector: HubSpot’s expanded connector allows ChatGPT to work with CRM context for tasks such as creating marketing content and analyzing deals.
AI Connectors: HubSpot data can also be used in Claude, Gemini and Copilot, giving teams access to CRM context within their preferred AI tools.
Breeze Assistant in Slack: Employees can access HubSpot insights and take certain actions without leaving Slack.
MCP connections: Breeze agents can draw on information from external platforms such as Gong and G2 to add context from outside HubSpot.
The expansion gives companies more ways to use HubSpot data without requiring employees to do all of their work inside the platform.
Taken together, the UNBOUND announcements point to several changes in how B2B companies may use HubSpot:
AI can take on more of the work. Breeze and HubSpot’s specialized agents can move beyond recommendations to help execute marketing and sales activities.
CRM data quality matters even more. HubSpot’s AI relies on the information available in the CRM, making accurate customer data increasingly important to the quality of its output.
Marketing and sales are becoming more connected. New tools use information gathered throughout the buying process, giving teams more opportunities to work from the same customer history.
HubSpot is expanding its role. New capabilities in AEO, advertising, and revenue management extend HubSpot into more areas of the customer relationship.
For B2B companies, the real opportunity is to use the new capabilities where they can solve an existing problem or improve an important process.
